At Stormwater Consulting, our team of RPEQ-certified flooding specialist engineers in Queensland is dedicated to delivering practical, innovative, and fully compliant solutions for flood risk, stormwater drainage, and water infrastructure challenges. With extensive experience across residential, commercial, and government projects, we help clients navigate regulatory requirements and design outcomes that stand up to Australia’s toughest conditions.
As we are based in Brisbane, Queensland, the majority of the projects that we complete are located within South East Queensland. We also regularly complete projects across all of Queensland, including northern New South Wales.
All of our reports are certified by a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) which has been accredited through the Board or Professional Engineers Queensland (BPEQ) and Engineers Australia (EA). We have several accredited engineers with RPEQ or CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer) status.
We work in both the private and public sectors. We work closely with town planners, architects, civil designers, home builders, surveyors, property developers, certifiers and many more professionals within the private development industry. We also work with local government bodies to assist with flood investigations, design, risk assessment, hazard management and many other stormwater and flood related projects.
Storm Water Consulting was originally established in 1996 by Darren Rogers. At the time, Darren had just finished contract work in the development assessment team at the Brisbane City Council.
Darren grew the business to the point where he could no longer sustain the workload by himself and he would need to hire staff. In 2003, Darren would move the business to the office location at Camp Hill.
Darren later retired in 2022. He still keeps in contact and will stop by the office from time to time to check in on the team.
Throughout recent years, Storm has continued to expand and transform, including the rebranding and relocation of the company in 2023. You will now find Storm located at their new office in Carina, where the operations of the company are managed by Steve Hughes.
